Award for Contribution to Economic Growth

The Contribution to Economic Growth award for 1998 was given to Development Isle Madame for its success at diversifying the island economy and generating employment and hope for residents of Isle Madame after the collapse of the ground fishery.

New Glasgow Riverfront Development Inc., and the Oakdene Centre Society of Bear River qualified as finalists.
